Houston Meet & Greet

I tried doing a search on this but didn't find anything recent. With that being said, are there ever any meet and greets in the Houston area? Would like to meet up if there ever is one. As of now it's usually just my sis, her man and another friend that go and do some exploring. But anyway, would like to meet my fellow Houston peeps at some point.

I'm not much for formal gatherings. I belong in the people who hate people party. I tried to rally a meeting but everyone told me to leave them alone. We almost had our first meeting that way.

Just kidding. (Viva la Bill Hicks) It's a lot harder than you think to just get people together. Keep trying though let me know what you get.

By the way, tell us about yourself. We know nothing about you or your UE experience.

I'm pretty sure it is kinda tricky to put something together. Considering people always have stuff going on. Especially on the weekends.

Anyway, I actually put a little bit about myself on here, but in the Rookie section. Haven't done too much. Done some exploring along the bayou, in and around downtown but everything is so boarded up that it makes it impossible to be successful. Gotten into some fenced in properties but only to be able to go into the loading dock area and that's it. Major bummer. I've also made it into the old Haunted Hotel. Other than that I've just been doing a lot of walking and driving around looking, which I will continue to do.

I'll be posting some pics of places soon but need to downsize them first, which I haven't had a chance to do just yet.

You could always go for a road trip and join one of our Dallas/Fort Worth area meetings. We usually do some cool exploring.

I would definitely be interested in doing that. Would need to convince the hubby to go or do some serious convincing for a solo road trip with my other peeps. Ha!

I'd be open to meeting some fellow Houston explorers. September will be busy for me, as will the first part of October, but any time after Oct 17th should be okay.

I just got a new Camera (7D!) and am jonesing for some exploring. Not this coming weekend but the next, I am down. Yeya, maybe we can show you some of the places that we have already been to, to give you an idea of what to look for as far as access goes... Need to go back to some recent Conquests to finish what we started.

That would be awesome. Definitely keep me up to date on this. As far as time and all. Definitely interested, thanks for keeping me in mind.

I definitely need to play around with my camera more. Still need to learn all the many really detailed features.

Yay , Houston never hasn't had any meets due to lack of up active explorers in the area. I'm stoked to see other like minded people popping up around the city. I would totally be down to meet up with you guys sometime. Most weekends I'm free so just let me know if you guys actually want to make something happen.

Well folks lets get this ball rolling. How does Saturday the 25th of this month sound? I was looking at the list of Houston explorers there are 47 listed however only 21 have even been online this year. After we pick the time date place that stuff I don't mind doing all the emailing. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks for taking over Jason. It's hard for me to even start anything since I'm pretty new to the whole thing. Plus, I for sure don't know of any places. At least not as much as you guys. Looking forward to it. Oh, and so far the 25th sounds good to me but it also depends on the time. I'll try and work around the time that everyone is up for.

Hey, I don't think I'll be able to on the 25th after all. Maybe the following weekend, the 2nd?

I'm glad to see you guys trying to work this up. After all these years, it's still unbelievable to me that a city the size of Houston seems to be so under represented on here. I know Secret is very active, and I know another VERY active UE person that is moving to Houston in a couple of weeks.

I'm hoping to make another trip down there this fall to UE my favorite building. Hopefully it will work out.

I hope you don't mind, but in what area is your favorite building?
