Front page of the local news... Asbury Park Historical society removes historical items from inside of palace in lieu of impending demolition. I was just inside last week and there had clearly been someone inside some fresh new vandalism and some random piles of garbage. I wish I had known ahead of time that this was going down. A sad day for us asbury heads....

Preservationists are still trying to save the original 1888 Carousel House (the pyramid shaped structure at one corner of the Palace complex).

Railway Stations at night: as romantic as the names of far-off towns on the Long Wave dial; magical places dislocated in time that belong to night wanderers; pilgrims and lovers; the lonely, the hopeful and the damned. (Last Tango In Aberystwyth - Malcolm Pryce)
