ALL the flashlights!
| | | | Re: Government Spiders <Reply # 120 on 10/20/2009 8:10 PM >
| | | Posted by Mr Blue Well, i'm a biomedical engineering major, and i went to the radiation safety commission here on campus and told the guy in charge that i was doing a biomed report on the use of tritium markers for identification of cancerous tumors, and wanted to measure the possible carcinogenic risks associated with them. This was something i just made up five minutes before i got there, but the guy was like "Sure, here ya go!" He told me then that i wouldn't pick up anything because tritium has too weak of radiation, but he let me take the GC anyway.

Hah...you're just hoping to have gotten latent superpowers ;). It's good that he decided that whatever your reason was, it was worth the counter...

| | | Nah, he seemed to buy it. I was like "Well, even if it can't detect it, the very fact that i tried would be creditable. I can just BS the rest." and he was just like "Haha, okay." [last edit 10/20/2009 10:26 PM by Mr Blue - edited 1 times]

| | | This thread is addictive. Guys and gals, these are fucking amazing pictures. They're incredible, I tell you. All of them. I can't wait to get my hands on this place. And to think at one time the rayon plant was my Mecca... Aurelie, the photo looking up through the caged ladder is chilling, and your other photos are amazing as always. I so can't wait to climb that thing myself!

| | | I think the whole idea of not calling it by name is so some noob doesn't get the bright idea to go there and either get caught or get hurt/killed in an area where cell reception is spotty at best, thus drawing unwanted attention to an epic location and accelerating its inevitable demise. That would be my opinion though.
