| | | Espionage for the CIA? Search and Rescue would get you outside alot, but thats mostly just in the woods... If you like draining, work for the Department of Water in your city... If your more for old buildings, do something like Asbestos removal then have a movie made after you as you deal with hauntings and stuff....

Hey! That's what I was planning to do after finishing school. Homeless people make more money than you think... You even get to sleep in the abandonned places!

I am an archaeologist. However it doesn't take me into too many abandoned buildings since my focus of study is North American prehistoric cultures (specifically the Princess Point and Hopewell cultures in Ontario) Historical archaeology with a focus on cultural resource management would involve the assessment and documentation of buildings though.

Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal? Its a natural plant that grows in the dirt. You know what's not natural, 80 year old dudes with hardons. Thats not natural, but we got pills for that. We're dedicating all our resources to keeping the old guys erect but we're puttin people in jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt. |

| | | Archaeologist would be one job, that could keep UE inside. I've been talking with the creators of this website: http://www.novision.fi/viapori/ One of the guys mentioned that he had been looking at my site and thinking that that's the way he started his career. Exploring, looking and being facinated about old and abandoned buildings, led him to investigate, catalogue and to preserve the biggest fortification in Finland as his job. I hope that it would go like that with myself...althought at the moment it doesn't look likely...I just today got an cofirmation that I will start in August, in a drug company.

This one time, he was trying to find this golden idol in South America. He had to make his way throught this maze of dangerous traps before finding the idol on a pedestal. But when he grabbed it, the loss of the idol's weight on the pedestal started setting off a series of traps and darts that nearly killed him! After narrowly avoiding be crushed by a giant stone, he escaped only to be chased down by angry natives. His guide, Jacques, barely got the plane going on time, and they got out of there by the skin of their teeth! What an adventure that was! Oh - did I mention Jacques' pet snake "Reggie" was in the plane on Manitou's seat? Wow... C.

| | | Location scouting for movies is pretty much what your doing except your doing everything is legal (Not that all UE is illegal). Historians, especially in Winnipeg have in the past done a lot of Urban Exploring with all the historic abandoned buildings that needed pictures taken of the building and historic write-ups on them. Another incentive to be homeless, all income is tax free.

| | | My grandfather has told me a few times (mainly because he forgets that he's told me about it) how he and some other boys from his school were given the afternoon to scurry all around Niagra Falls Ont. and find the quickest paths from main roads to bombshelters during WWI. They were allowed to go through houses, backyards, buildings, cut across industrial parks... They figured that teenage boys would already know the quickest routes through backstreets and alleys and stuff. I guess you can wait for another war to endanger our homeland and then get the aforementioned job. Or just join the army. Then you can climb through any broken down building you want.
It's a drag, it's a bore, it's really such a pitty To be lookin' at the board, not lookin' at the city. |
