1706 East(hastings) St.
??? is that it
if it is it sure has changed since

Hastings WAS the biggest street back then. I would guess it was there, as I was not.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

I guess I didn't quite pay enough attention when I looked.

Cambie Sounds like a good guess, since i cant see any coast that would suggest that its Burrard, but then again, the train blocks most of the shot

Actually I am not exactly sure what bridge, I think it is the Burrard myself. Maybe one of us will recognise more accurately the location.

The Granville street bridge was build in 54, and this bridge looks weathered. The city still owns the same lots where I first though this picture was taken. The only other spot i though it could be is the south end of the Burrard, and the construction seems to lead me to believe it may also be the spot. The Granville used big wide boards in it's forms, and the Burrard used 2x4 boards in it's build forms. I think this pic was taken where the skate park is by Vanier park, under the south end, but i can't be certain.

I think that's it too, I may be able to find one more shot with a little more bridge detail.

A different angle, looks like cement construction for the railings in the upper right.

That's the south end of the Burrard! The railings are the give away, as they are still concrete. Concrete evidence if you will. I also remember tracks under there, beside the brewery, and a few switches too. I had no idea what they were for till now. Nice find Nobody, thanks for that. Some more good finds for my mental railway/interurban history collection!
