Experimenting with long exposure/light painting

so I recently discovered that I have one of the like, 3 point and shoots in the world that allows adjustment of exposure and other advanced options. So here are some attempts I made to utilize it. Shot in a mostly dark room, just the light of the computer screen. Camera is a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-V1 and I used some cheap laser pointer. Comments/criticism welcome!

hahaha nice. light painting is really fun, keep experimenting, the possibilities of what can be done with long exposures are endless!
