Some shots from yesterday

This is my first post in the critique forum. Please analyze and if you can, give me some honest feedback. I know my photography isn't the best, nor do I expect it to be, but it has developed quite a bit in the last year or so.

i kinda dig these...they have a scifi vibe to them, and the second shot reminds me a lot of the The Thing movie poster.

Yeah, well done on that. I think they could stand to be a bit clearer though.

I've been experimenting on the third shot I posted a few days ago. I put it into black and white with a hint of sepia, no noise reduction or sharpening:

The first one is very good, second one is too, but I find the third a little soft, the water looks interesting, but the rest of the drain almost looks out of focus, not quite the gritty impact of most draining shots. The B&W versions good, but perhaps it needs a bit more grain added to it, still looks a little clean to me, but good work and keep posting more

Here's the B&W, sharper and grainier. How does this compare to the others?

I think these are strong overall. The first one I mght suggest cropping out a bit of the black off the right. Some nice shadow details.

They seem to be lacking sharpness, but I like the color and the darkness in them. People will give you shit for not perfectly exposing but in such an environment it lends well to the image/composition I think.

That looks like it came out of an old black-and-white dot-matrix printer!

Well it's kind of novel, but that's probably about it

Just a little over done, try somewhere in between, but the dot matrix effect is different!

I like the way the light come into the drain in #1.
