Details This is an event geared toward introducing newer members (and even some older ones) to a truly unique historical site.This spot is personal favorite I know and love....yes we are going to that old whore. I'm still surprised how many people have not been here and I know I will enjoy sharing it with those interested. Highlights will include: Dozens of buildings to explore On Hand photography advice for beginners Low to zero security A very large open and relaxed explore Snacks and drinks. A bonus location I've only explored once. We will convene at Starbucks in Marina. Directions to Starbucks: http://www.yelp.co...ucks-coffee-marina Coordinates: 36.68668,-121.799937 After we meet for coffee we will proceed to a designated park area to break into groups lead by Zombiemeat and myself (since there seem to be a lot of folks coming) we will explore and then break for lunch at the park. Sandwiches and beverages will be provided by Fusspot, Zombiemeat and myself. If you are going to be a late-comer and need directions to the park, PM me and let me know. After lunch we will explore some shop, maintenance and other buildings, then a "special" find. We will wrap up the trip with some light painting and compare low-light/existing light photography techniques if the light and schedule permit. Note: Make sure to bring all the lighting sources you want to play with. We will then finish up the day having Mexican food at a favorite spot. This is a ONE day event but explorers who have traveled farther or choose to make a weekend of it and explore on Sunday (there is A LOT to see!) will be provided with a map. This map will have additional locations and clues on it. Think of it as extra credit! This will be an all day and into the night explore so bring comfortable shoes and clothes as well as your enthusiasm.
