He was given the "Order of Canada"in 1980. He took care also about the Leo's boys (named in the honor of a young fellow who died of leukemia in his early 20's ) ,an organism for the youth based on sports and self-esteem. There is a great NFB documentary about Pointe St-Charles talking a lot about this ! Mr O'Canada !
