When the top wooden handle (seen on the right) is pulled it opens the top part of this "double -silos" to receive the malt or grain so it falls in the top part where it can be weighed by a 1000lb scale. Then the lower handle opens the bottom section so the grain/malt can be put away.There are small windows on this double tank and a cabin for the employee to do the surveilance and the weighing.Please if someone is better to explain,do so !
