Do NOT enter drains. Read this warning!

This drain was a real buzz to see. Not all that long, but certainly big and wide. The debris hanging from the metal bars that formed much of the roof gave it an eerie look. This was the first drain I saw swarms of cockroaches down. Yuk!

This was the last drain explored during a long day that had also seen me explore several other drains and a couple of bunkers.

The entrance to the canal downstream of Ghost Train

The channel under the rail line

Graffiti art and three separate entrances to the drain. The one on the left leads to a smaller drain system detailed at the bottom of this page.

A dark train, but not the Ghost Train.

Tunnel into the big main chamber

Poles and leaf litter in the big main chamber. These poles require some ducking on the part of the explorer though.

It is big!

Leaf litter viewed across from the tunnel

Further up is a new section to this tunnel, with a clear and unobstructed roof. It has some nice 'station' type platforms either side of the main canal. I thought this was a good place for a party, obviously someone else had the idea before me.

For some reason this one metre side drain was grilled shut. Wonder where it goes?

Upper end of Ghost Train. Just visible is my flashlight for scale. That's at least 2 metres high there. It was much lighter than it looks in the picture.

Back down to the entrance tunnels. That debris looks like a dog, but it wasn't.

This is the second part of the drain, the left entrance. The tunnel had lots of shelves along either side of it.

Not the sort of place I'd choose for a home with all those nasty cockroaches in the drain.

Upstream exit of the left tunnel, all covered with weeds and blackberry vines.
