The Urban Adventure Site

World Trip 2004 - Toronto

This was the second Canadian Drain I had explored. It was big! It was impressive! It was long! It was even quite scary in places.

General gathering of urban explorers

Upon reaching the location of the drain we all got ready to head on in.

For some reason nobody's looking at the camera.

The drain entrance. That thing was HUGE! That's one of the biggest round concrete pipe drains I've ever seen.

A crowd gathers by the drain entrance

In the drain we head off.

Challenge number 1, climbing the ladders past the first waterfalls. By this time my feet were numb because of cold water.

Hmm, I don't even recall taking this picture.

And that there is why this drain is scary. This walkway was missing it's grilled floor.

This is how you got across it. Hard core nerves of steel.

Looking down the top of the waterfall.

At the top of the falls we wait for others to traverse the walkways and ladders.

The huge room at the top of the first falls.

Photo opportunity

Silica straws.

On the way out.

Tunnel to exit.

Climbing down that ladder again.

Drain exit and one of my favorite photos.

It seemed just a bit wet out here.

What a nice place for lunch. Note the tripod that Kawasaki ;) is carrying.

A Canadian explorer wearing waders shortly before he falls into the creek ass first.

Cameras, camera equipment and passing pedestrians litter the walkway,

The feet of some of the world's foremost Urban Explorers.
