Scholastic Decay

A friend and I went to this high school about a week ago, and it has drastically changed since those pictures were taken in August '07. the building is collapsing, and the interior is no longer as recognizable as a school. instead of walking into a "ghost high school" with a bit of clutter and trash and some collapsing elements, the building was in total decline. there was debris piled up everywhere, fallen planks and tile from ceiling and floor, and there was a layer of dirt and mud about 2 inches thick pretty much everywhere. this could have just been due to recent rain, but there was constant leaking and dripping from the ceiling and parts of the bottom floor were flooded in areas. it wasn't really worth the danger of falling through unstable floors, or possible tetanus from rust, or just something falling from the ceiling. I speculate it will probably be torn down sometime soon. however, it is incredibly easy to get into now, there's glass on hardly any of the windows so you can just climb in from the bottom floor. also, I don't think there's a security guard there anymore but I'm not positive. all in all, it wasn't really worth it as its barely recognizable as a high school anymore.
