Re-entry.

Autowitch, Trouble and myself did this thing from end to end. It has four key features... A set of turns, a manhole, a grate and a shape change per pipe...
We entered at aboput 11:30pm.

Our story:
Coming from the outfall, we encountered our first turn: a 45-degree curve to the right. This took us due east. About this time, we notice trash and tree limbs about halfway up the sides of the RCP. The drain had flooded earlier this evening when it rained...

This continued on for about 200 feet, and we encountered the only manhole. The only one for this side. It has both metal rod and plastic step-irons. It also has concrete and HDPE manhole height adjustment rings. The manhole itself is just a modern manhole tee cemented in place.

Then we have another turn. More 5-foot RCP. Then a set of turns, one to the left, and then another to the left to take us under a grate and due north under Platte. There are 4x6 RCTs under platte to basically bury a small creek.

We begin to notice 1/4" red and white braided rope in the RCPs. Trouble says that the city crews use these along with a machine to determine where to run as to clean these things with a vacuum/water jet. In a bigger system, these can help you find the way out...
But smaller stuff like Wooten or upper Citadel II, its quite hard to get lost down there.

After we got out of the system and took the necessary photos, I climbed back up the other side ofthe bridge, and I noticed an older looking culvert. It is a 4x6 foot RCT that goes across Platte and hides a 4-foot RCP drain from a parking lot. It is rather nasty because it stays dry all the time. No water to wash things out. It is unbelievably nasty. Not worth entering until the City cleans it out.

Official drain exit time: ~12:10 AM. July fourth was the day. We spent two days down here... July third and fourth.
