The church awaits...

This location I had shot photos outside of many times - and have been longing to enter for MONTHS! It is a great backdrop for many modeling photos.

Elsewhere are photos from within - there was no one around the church, entry was easy, the building was stable, secure, and but faintly lit.

---------------------------Enter the church------------------------------

There are no real words to describe how, sobering this visit was. I had the feeling were were the first in years to enter this building - and certainly the first UEs to notice it. Being the first to document and travel this lcoation felt like such a great honour. Aside from the occassional empty 40 bottle, there was no sign of recent activity. Even more importantly, no vadals had yet violated this church.

We entered in the basement - which was completely sealed away from the world - there was no light to illuminate our path. The 3 of us shared a single flashlight - and 3 cameras. Our flashes through out this exploration, would prove to be the greatest source of light.

Our cameras captures the church in full - from where we started in the basement to the journey up into the main room for worship, and even further up onto the second floor. One thing was clear, this place closed due to a fire. Where, why, or how, this fire started, we never could figure out.

I hope you check out the photo gallery in full - as this little story does not lend credit to the gradure of this church, as it sits in decay.
