Mountain Park was my first UE. The attraction of an abandoned amusement park was overwhelming. I could see the ruins of the park everytime I went skiing at Mt Tom nearby. My first trip was in 1989. I have returned almost every year. Sometimes I would enter and explore, other times I would hike in the state park adjacent to Mountain Park.

Due to careless storage I have lost almost all of the photos from these early visits. Also, a hard disk failure cost many of my recent digital photos.

On my first visits the park was virtually intact, and you could walk through the fun house, and sit on the rides. The mini-golf was still playable. Each year the park fell further into ruin. Sadly, almost nothing stands today.
