Trip to the Poconos

So we went here sort of on our way north, but went way the hell west first. I remember the commercials on TV from when I was a kid and would stay home from school - anyone who knows what I'm talking about can probably sing it by heart. It was sort of a wussy adventure, not very old, not very dangerous, ultimately not so exciting I guess!! However, it was in and of itself cool. This place was built in the 60's and epitomized the luxurious middle America resort. From what I understand, part of the reason they closed is they never painted or bought new furnishings in that time (but those damn commercials persisted). For people paying $300 a night that may suck, but for someone like me it's a rare chance to see what modern looked like 40 someodd years ago. Anyway, thats the "story" - it was nice just walking around, the security guard was really nice (sans teeth, but nice) and no one seemed bothered by me with my camera walking down a busy street, even a cop who passed by. Getting in is of course of interest, and I welcome comments, suggestions, etc. So if you have something to say, then say it!! Thanks
