That's a rather unique 'clock'. Any clue what these were used for?

not sure, kinda of looks like it would have been a timer. this room was filled with fridges (was used for storage for a group can't remember which one i think it was a group that helped people who couldn't afford furniture/appliences ) so i have no idea what it was before. the room next door had incubators..

I was thinking timer too. Maybe this was an operating room, with the tiles going all the way up the wall.

Probably to easily calculate the heart beats of patients. It's calculated by beats / minute

I could be way off here but also to keep track of the amount of time someone may be on heart bypass so the surgeon can determine how much time is left to work on the patient.

yeah, that does look more like a timer than a clock. The space beside it probably was for the clock

It's the seconds indicator from the 'Procedure time' clock which has been removed from the right hand side.

It could also be used to time swimmers, saw one like it in Japan.
