  I drove by this site a few days back on I-10. I'm a racing fan and nearly drifted out of my lane at this sight. Thanks for all the photos. Sad sight indeed.

  When I lived in Phoenix I used to drive out to this place all the time. I'd either take pictures, or just hang out there. Back then, in the 80's, it was never patrolled so I'd just go right inside. I remember there were mahogany panels and it looked like it used to be a real swank place, built for jet-setter types. I can't believe it's still there after all these years. Hopefully they'll renovate it rather than tear it down. Real cool place.
