I'd like to know what the safety factor rating is on the engineering on those. 2 times the strength needed? 5 times?

ASME A17.1-2000. The factor of safety on the drive machine is 8 for steel/bronze, 10 for cast iron parts. I believe the F.S. is also 8 for cables.
