A concrete rail bridge in the area was retained for public use after the intururban was shut down. Unfortunately, 1960's era council members thought it would be a good idea to fill in the pedestrian side with landfill, and convert the automobile side into a modern walkway. It would make an exciting restoration project. Anyone need any dirt?!?!

have you tried cravling in I'm guessing bulldozers just heaped a pile in front of the opening and left the remaining open... probably wouldnt take much digging to open it up at all.
