These are cool, especially your before/after setups. Did you take all the pictures yourself?

And to think its all houseing now... i dont think anyone that ever enjoyed the park could bring themselves to live there, its like being on a grave site in some ways. Living on millions and millions of other ppl's memories.

Thanks a lot for these pics. It made me sad. I spent so many years in my teens and early 20's going to this park. I remember going to it on its last day of operation. A friend of mine went to the auction and bought a pile of stuff including the Giant Coaster (no sh*t). He gave me the face plate from one of the bumper cars. It's on display in my living room.

Amazing posting... really like the before/after style, it gives such impact to the changes. It's sad to see a great place like this get dismantled.

I went here alot when I was a kid, too. I remember how it used to get a little spooky at night so that's when we'd go in the fun house and such.

Thanks for posting photos of this location. Love the before & after pics. If I ever get around to it I hope to document an old amusement park site here in Iowa.

I liked the pictures. It's a shame I couldn't go there. I wasn't even born yet when the Crystal Beach Amusement Park was in operation.
