ames was a chain of discount stores that started in the northeast, recovered from bankruptcy once, went totally under another time. they bought out kings, zayres and hills

Ames stores suck, they imagine K-mart/Walmart, except with crappier stuff and uglier stores.

but what THD was referring to was the fact that they flooded the DB, are marginal locations and suck balls... when someone says 'bordering on Ames here...", it's not a compliment.

I think that's a crap attitude. If someone has found something that they find to be interesting, and want to share it, the should be able to post it without fear of people picking in them. Save your opinion for the rating system - that's why it's there. Keep your negativity to your effing self.
