The style of dress of urban explorers in the 1800s sure was different. (kidding)

I find this picture really bizarre. Why would a woman be standing beside the tracks outside the tunnel? It doesn't look like the kind of place someone who is dressed up would stand to have their picture taken.

People did odd things in the 1800s for photographs.

"Why would a woman be standing beside the tracks outside the tunnel?" Perhaps cause her husband built this and they wanted a picture to show to the rest of the family back home? And since the hubby is taking the pic, well he can't be in it, right?

Because she is still hesitating to get tied up on the tracks so the hero would come and save her just before the train hits her...(honky tonk piano ostinato chords in the back ground..)

Two guys are out camping. One wanders off for a while, and then comes back later with a big smile on his face. The other guy asks him why he's so happy.

"I went wandering out in the woods, and I found some train tracks. I followed them for a bit, and there was a woman tied down to the tracks. I quickly untied her and moved her off the tracks, and then we had the best sex I've ever had."

"Wow," said the other guy. "Was she attractive?"

"I don't know," said the first. "I never found her head."

She was Jenny Pearson if I remmeber the name correctly, correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure her family had something to do with the building of the canal and the tunnel
