Actually Nostra, he does'nt live there. He owns the top condo but he rents it FOR FREE to young architects from his original country (Egypt?) so they can study in Montreal for free. Is'nt it nice?

its no longer the biggest, the biggest 4 units (8 blocks) there were pics on some architecture site, quite nice

yeah. McGill did a big project on the restoration of Habitat 67. I think now the biggest unit is 11 blocks. Cause as you may know, current owners all have a first right of buying on neighouring blocks before an owner can put one on sale... And I know it's not the biggest. but it's the one on top.

ok, the article i read said that units are always an even number of blocks, could it be 11 units 22 blocks (if so that is huge)

Well, it is huge. I went and visited it some times ago. It's BIG! McGill project still online : http://cac.mcgill.ca/safdie/habitat/ You can see some of the restored ones. The Safdie one is still intact. No change to it whatsoever.
