As I said before with the death of his wife and son, very close together. All of that probably brought him down. His mental capacity was probably nil. As you stated on the opening page of this forum,some of the neighbors didn't care. He only had his animals for comapnionship. This is what happenes sometimes to old people. They just don't care anymore. They loose their will to live. How do I know, try working in the health care field for 10 years. You will see what I mean!

Some of the stuff has been sitting on the steps for long enough that there is a wear pattern around them on the step.

Some single people just do it anyway, to be honest, bereavement or not. Somehow they let things get out of control and it happens.
