Description
A Medtronic ECG Transmitter. This allowed a doctor somewhere to monitor his ECG readings. Interestingly enough, this was one of the most recent devices in the house. On the second floor, mind you. The postcard was postmarked May 20 2002. He walked around this place, it seems...

That would prolly' be worth a good bit.

If he did not own this I would be tempted to give the local health centre a call and if it's thiers - return it.

I didn't want to address that directly but yes, it is worth quite a bit. Ironically, I work with a former ECG interpreter who emphatically said, "Go get that thing." I will find out who the unit belonged to.

I think even if you took it and Ebayed it - that would be better than it landing in a skip or being bulldozed.

At least someone could benefit.

Just checked eBay, these units don't fetch much. I'm assuming that it's not because they're worthless, they are rather advanced devices; they are usually issued by prescription only. Thus, no one would really have a use for it other than someone with a prescription or an interest in ECG equipment...

Tech speaking it's just an EKG machine attached to a 9600 baud telecoupler. We actually still use these couplers at work on a very limited basis.

But there's some postal letter inside, just noticed that.

  It reads:

"Dear Fred,

This card is to remind you that we will be calling you for a pacemaker check

on: Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 11:00am.

Please call the clinic if this is inconvenient.

Sincerely,
Pacemaker Center at PVH
(201) 358 3130"

PVH is Pascack Valley Hospital.

I would call this clinic and see if the transmitter belongs to them.

That may also be the "cleanest" piece of anything in that house!

God, who cares. Look at the damn thing, it's some piece of shit from the 80s and is probably worthless.

Ironically, someone stole this; you can see the empty box in the second gallery.
