Location DB > Canada > British Columbia > Salmon Arm > Podollan Orchard > The house on the hill > DSC00099.JPG

7 / 8   DSC00099.JPG

Description
The inside seems to be in amazing condition... For the most part. All original hardware and wood trim remains where it should be, and where the house stays dry, the features stay nice. The wood floor is really in good shape.

They don't put doors like that on houses these days. I love the huge windows, and the fact that they're unbroken.

I've never had a go at one, but the mechanism in the locks they use on railway switches around here (I've seen them for sale) are very simple. Mind you, they need different tools then the modern padlocks because of the different location of the tumblers.
