Description
Anybody have any idea why a company from Quebec would be storing their drums in an abandoned building in Amsterdam, NY?

That white trailer in one of the other galleries with SGT on the side is from Quebec and I was kind of wondering what it was doing there. SGT stands for Saint Germain Transport. (or as some other drivers call them "Some Gay Trucker")

I just tried to call the number, but there was no answer. I was all prepared to tell them I had barrel number "fill in the blank " in my back yard and where was it supposed to be! Oh well, I guess I'll never be on "Crank yankers"

  Try calling during business hours.

You would think they would have an answering machine, would make sense.

These are the people that make the drums but have nothing to do with the contents.

I'm thinking that these barrels are dumped illegally... ala Jenkins perhaps? I haven't seen a label describing the contents of them, and that is kinda fishy. Is there a clear owner to these buildings? But then again, does a prime UE site get turned in and superfunded?.. the plot thickens.

samurai there was no illegal dumping at jenkins, like they said in the montreal papers all the contamination came from the production of metals, heavy metal contamination and lube oil is whats up there. jenkins is more a sad comentary on the industrial practices back then

i agree, now for illegal dumping in quebec there was the st basile warehouse that burned down in 89 that was full to the brim of pcbs and well turns out it was an unlicenced storage place
