This hearth/insanely large fireplace was in a secondary kitchen, behind the first kitchen. Probably utilized as a "Harvest Kitchen" for canning and shit after fall harvest. Saw a similar setup in the basement/grade level of the Glasgow St. Mennonite house.

Very similar, indeed. No hardware in this one, though. Glasgow St. still had some hanging hardware.

I have been back twice in my travels up and down Hwy. 6 this summer, and there are no signs of cauldron or pot hanging hardware like Glasgow Street. Imagine sitting around that thing in February during a nasty Grey County storm? Lots of tunes, firewood & wine...Highway 6 closed indefinitely by the O.P.P........ I'm trying to trick myself into liking the upcoming winter season!!!
