Thats an m249. I don't think the US military really uses m60s much anymore.

On the contrary the M60 is still in service. Actaully moreso over there I didnt take a good look at that untill now and your right.

Yeah, believe me, the M-60 is still in use. I just shot one last week. Although the Marines have switched to the M240, which is pretty much the same (at least in appearence and caliber) as the '60

The USMC never did use the same modle M60 as the army (ours was the M-60E3 during my time). The only serious diffrence was the weight was a bit less.

Its an FN MAG (U.S. designeation M240). You can tell because of the upward curve on the buttstock, the lack of a magazine well, the size of the reciever, and the pistol grip. Also, you can tell that its a U.S. Army model because it has the upper handguard. (Yes, I am a gun nut)

People amaze me with what kind of details they can pull from memory at will. *golf clap* Too bad the stuffs made for killing. Necessary evil in some cases though, so it goes.
