From wikipedia: "...two silo complexes that occupied the area between Spadina Quay and Maple Leaf Quay. The first structure was opened in 1928 by the Toronto Elevator Company and built by Carter Construction Company. It was called the Playfair Elevators... When TEC merged with Maple Leaf Flour, the silos were renamed Maple Leaf Mills. Unlike Victory Soya Mills and Canada Malting silos, the two structures were demolished in the 1980s (1983) and now part of the Maple Leaf Quay East.
