14 / 25   Ancient Generator

Description
I think it's either a backup generator or some kind of compressor, all I know is that it's ancient (from the 70's).

It might have been for the waveguide line to the towers. for the microwave dish . They used air pressure to keep water out of the line

This looks pretty old, maybe 50s or 60s. That pre-dates the use of microwave at this site. So this was probably for something else though I can't think what. Part of the cooling system for the tube finals maybe?

This was the water pump that pumped water from the open well that we used to get water from. Every summer, the well would dry up and we'd have to get the Rockingham fire department to come up with their tanker truck and fill up the well again. When there was no water, we bathed in Karney lake.
