If the building would have been located at the river, and the porch facing it, it would've been an ideal spot to watch the sunset over the river Kwai while drinking ice-cold Coke. But now, facing a busy main street of Kanchanaburi, it was less attractive. A metal gate, tied shut with a wire I couldn't open without cutting, prevented me to explore the second floor. It didn't matter, as there was nothing to explore in the second floor. It was just one large, empty room with squeaky wooden floor.
