Looking through these pictures, I kept thinking (like I usually do when I am UEing residentially) "Wow, someone went to the fabric store, picked out those curtains/floorboards/wallpaper/etc. from many alternatives, probably considered this house a fairly permanent thing that would definitely outlast them, and then... Disaster strikes and then all the optimism of the past looks so perverse. This coming from someone whose family home was entirely destroyed by Katrina...
