And is that the flaming garbage in the doorway?

I think he set something else on fire also. When I walked by there was some sort of black box that looked like a device that was spitting out flames, as well as this, which seems to be a plastic bag stuffed with trash. To be honest I was preoccupied with watching the guy's hands to make sure he didn't pull a knife. The fire was never a threat to anyone or anything; I think he was sending a message to the developers.

What was the message, "If you build it, I will burn it".

My guess is he used to live there and was evicted by force. Incidentally when I took this picture I assumed he was a worker. The other workers on site at the time were dressed pretty well the same as them. And the fire wasn't big enough yet.

That would make sense, I'd be pretty pissed off too if I was told to get out before they tore down my home.

I went back there this weekend. The trash bag visible in the picture was still there, melted down and the bricks were scorched a bit. It would suck if someone still lived there, but within a few weeks that arch will be rubble. It didn't make the cut into the gallery but here it is: http://www.daehanm...2sindaebang/45.JPG

It looks like there was just a pile of rubble on the other side of that gate.

Yep, it's just a gate that's for some reason been left standing, and whatever was behind it has been destroyed. Have a look at 93.JPG for a better example of this.
