  TriMet, the bus system here in Portland, OR had aritculated buses for the longest time but people don't realize that they did in fact de-articulate weekly and had horrible engines in them.

  We now have new articulated buses, however all of them, new and old, have had the rear sections jackknife while going downhill in icy weather!

  LOL! I used to think that they did that when I was a kid! We called them accordion buses.

  We always called them POP buses because you were required to have your Proof Of Payment while aboard, being your pass or transfer. This allowed back door boarding for those who were not paying a cash fare.
