Description
The perspective in this photo is awesome! Further research shows this is mohasco, not at the sanford/coleco building

Could that carpet be any BIGGER?

About how long would it take to make that carpet? Think it's still around?

More importantly, how did they get it out of there?

Just rolled it up, but that would have been a large roll of carpet.

I think that may have been the carpet from the lobby rotunda of the Roxy Theater - it had a round carpet that was as big as that, at least.

not sure if it will be as easy as that to tell, i have many more photos of the carpet factory showing different carpets like this particular one (there were way too many to put them all up) of slightly different sizes or patterns. This photo though insinuates that this is a piece of distinction, so maybe??

Was. This portion probably burned in the fire.

It would have to be rolled up and folded in half and loaded into a truck trailer in order to move it outta there.

In 1927 when this was made for the Roxy Theatre in NYC, it was the largest, heaviest rug of all time.
