I watched that movie with my wife one night. Didn't think it was scary until I let the dog out and a moth flew into my head and into the house.............had to go change my pants after that. LOL

i found the movie pretty scary as well... don't know if I have the testicular fortitude to read the book... alone... in the dark...

I found the book to be more ludicrous than scary, so I never bothered to see the movie.

regardless of whether or not there is or isn't a 'mothman', the movie was pretty scary. Not so much for what you saw, but for what you didn't...

It was scary that people would make such a shitty movie, that's for sure.

I get shivers just thinking about it.

I personally thought that the movie was pretty good.

Maybe I should reconsider seeing it. After I read the book, I didn't think the movie would have anything to offer. It might be interesting to see how they portray Pt. Pleasant to look, anyway.

So I watched an episode of Paranormal State, about this place and the mothman theory. There was this Native Chief Cornstalk who was murdered by the us govt in 1774. This secret government weapons facility is actually built on top of a very large Indian burial ground, this is sacred land. Apparantley when Chief Cornstalk died he placed a 200 yr curse on the town. Interesting..
