  Its a fork lift engine

  A 2.5 does not have 2 banks of cylinders, that's a V8.

It was a really small engine.

if you look at the belt, that's a timing belt. Also, you can tell it's a 2.2L/2.5L by the shroud over the distributor, the cam bearing caps and the timing belt. The motor mount at the far right of the engine tells me that it came out of a K-car platform (Daytona, Reliant, etc..)

If I could see the part on the ground, i could tell whether or not it's a turbo engine. Sitting like that, I can't tell.

ITS A FORK LIFT ENGINE, THERE WAS A FORKLIFT WHEEL RIGHT NEAR IT:)

  that doesn't mean that its not a 2.5. :)
hehehe (waiting for Nismo to blow gasket in 5-4-3-2...)

Lol who cares what it is the main point that it cames from a forklift :) different engine npw (NISMO POWERED 2.5 175 HP :D:D:D:D:D)

I'm sorry Nismo, but that engine is not a forklift engine, it's a small car engine. Most fork lifts are electric, propane powered, or deisel powered. Don't mean to argue, but you are wrong on this.

there is a fuel pressure regulator on the lower right corner of the pictures, with a black rubber hose at one end, and a small grey hose for the vacuum.

so it is a Chrysler 2.5L OHC engine... :oP
Where's Nismo... I am still waiting for him to blow a fuse! j/k
Posted by Nismo 6/27/2004 6:23 PM | remove
hmm than where did that engine come from? Lol im not gonna loose it over this :P
Posted by Jesus Jones 7/3/2004 2:34 AM | remove
That came out of a 1990-4 Chrysler compact car. Daytona, K-Car or Reliant Wagon. I know because I have worked on them before.

doesn't have to be 1990-94... that engine architecture was used from 1979 on through to 1994. The 2.2/2.5 was based 1.7L VW OHC 4-cylinder. Most commonly, these engines were seen from 1982 to 1994.

Definitely a 2.2 or 2.5 I've got a couple laying around. This is also a turbo engine. The throttle body is missing and the intake manifold is smashed.

and now there's a colapsed building laying on it.
