Lorsque la lumiere est allumée poussez la poignée? I can't even read that right-side up! Babelfish translates it to "When the light is lit push the handle". Actually a lot less verbose than the English version.

French tends to have longer words but with more accurate meaning IMO

Its like those french have a different word for everything. I was staying in a hotel in quebec once and went to have a shower. There were two taps there. One labled 'F' another 'C'. Now not being up on my frenc I decided that I wouldn't tempt the strange new 'F' tap that presented itself before me so I decided on a cold shower, after all I knew what 'C' was. Boy was I wrong. Six weeks of skin grafts, two years of therapy........... :P Jut kidding... i'm fluent in English, French and Scottish.
