  Wow - with this view, it almost look like the church in Silent Hill Movie (I know it wasn't shot there but the way this pic is taken, it looks a lot like it).

  Well, never saw Silent Hill, but I really liked this church. I don't think it's actually in Centralia; I think it's in Conyngham, if I spelled that right.

  I read somewhere that they modeled the town in Silent Hill after Centralia. Maybe they designed the church to look like it or found a similar one?

  Yes. The concept of the town of Silent Hill (minus the zombies, of course) is based on the Centralia thing with the toxic gas, etc.

  There's a church in Ashland that looks sort of like the Silent Hill one.

  Are those cinder blocks or some kind of siding? Either way, that's one butt-ugly building.
