Eh, this one is an LS, it just has the Z34 trim package. I think it was in a wreck before I got it... and they just used Z34 parts to repair it.

the wheels are off a Z34, that's what made me think it was... on second look, i see it has the later model wing on it... the Z34 had a late 70's-style Camaro spoiler on it... looked snazzy. I always liked these cars, so much nicer than the 1st generation Lumina body they replaced.

The bumper fascia is also from a Z34. The LS didn't have the chin spoiler.

I'm happy with the car. Rides nice... Not fast, but oh well. I also love the way it looks... wouldn't dream of ricing it out.

Someday it'll get the RWD/LS1 conversion though... it's been done before, so I know it's possible lol

i've had both and i hate to tell you this, but the 2nd generation were cleaner and trim looking. the older Lumina's look dated.

Hah, nice one bravo, my eyes jumped straight to the stacks too, look like the type that might just have the luxury of ladders/stairs on the inside!

it's cars like this that made GM shutter plants, and file for bankruptcy. An American joke
Posted by Samurai 10/19/2010 2:24 PM | remove
actually, danzup, the Monte Carlo and Lumina were consistantly referred to as "American Camry's" due to their reliability, durabilihty and ease of service. Also, these cars were not built in the US. The Chevrolet W-bodies were assembled in Oshawa Ontario. Also, Lumina's and Monte Carlo's were consistant sellers throughout their run cycle. The Impala and Monte Carlo after the 2000 model year continued to be consistantly good sellers until around 2006.

like they say- never buy a GM on a Friday or Monday- probably could drive it off the factory floor
