  The data centres I worked in both had their AC blowing up from the floor. Raised tiles with vent holes under the equipment. Neat concept, place was nice and cold and we were able to keep our lunches cold under the floor tiles.

  the control room of the pulp mill i work in is the same way... the A/C is pumped into the floor and goes up through the consoles.

  no no no... you track it in on your boots, the stuff gums up on gets in the cracks in the floors over the vents... that's what i meant.
