  the toilet was a hole. with a book to cover the hole. sometimes you would have to stand on the book to stop the rats from crawling out.

  This is one of the high security cells in the Annex. One person per cell with a cot. People here were escorted to a washroom during the day and they had a pail at night. You didn't see any smiling faces here. Welcome to hell. The only luxury they had was daylight.
