  This was called a coridoor. Four per floor, and 3 floors. 2 sets of bunkbeds in each cell and at times up to 20 cots in the coridoor. During the day everyone was locked out of their cells and you spent the day in the coridoor. Tension was always high due to crowding.....each person had approx. 10 square feet to themselves.
