Standard bugs rock. Super (stupid) bettles sucked BAD. This is either a 71 or 72 stupid due to the flat windshield and slot bumpers as opposed to those god awful absorbers on the later bubble window (73 +).

Super Beetles were MacPherson struts weren't they? A friend of mine has a 72 Super Beetle.

Yes, thats what's bad about them. Those mac sruts caused wheel shimmy in every super I have owned or ridden in regardless if you had a new steer damper or not. That is why I hate them. Also the lack of a solid ront beam isn't very great either. The only time I had a super wit no shimmy was in 1990 when I had a 71 with dropped struts and cut springs. You go through alot of ball joints that way though.

At first I was surprised that no one had made a stupid comment about "going through a lot of ball joints."

Then I realized that I was probably the first person to ever make it all the way through that comment without have a seizure.
