It's for performing stomach pumps / removing excess fluid from wounds and in surgery.
The part at the bottom there, holds a glass vessel and collects the slop. Thermotic indicates it's heated... For some reason I can't work out?

Nah, liposuction is removal of fat. This was for stomach contents and, maybe, surgical site suction. I think mainly for stomach contents or, perhaps, pleural cavity.
