Old-skool reel-to-reel tape. In the 60s and early 70s, you could opt to buy your fave albums in reel-to-reel format. Audiophilles likes this format as it gave good quality without the scratches and skips of vinyl records...

  Reel tape is indeed the ultimate audiophile format. But scratchy, skipping vinyl is a huge myth, unless you don't take care of your records.

I'd kill for some of those tapes...
