8 / 15   Place des nations today

Description
Same spot today, with Turbozutek. In the background, Bridge pillar. Used to be a suspended bridge but part of the bridge collapsed a few years ago and then when they repaired the bridge, they removed the original cables since they now served no purpose (other than architectural elements...).

yet the extension built when the casino opened (prior to the casino the palais de la civilisation was a long circuitus ride on the circuit gilles villeneuve) was modelled on this bridge with the cables although they are dummy cables

i agree, it means the extensions dummy cables are pointless,

But even if they are pointless, it made the whole structure look good, or at least better. Now, it's just... ugly.

i meant on the new bridge, what was the point of mimicking the exhisting bridge only to remove the cables on the exhisting one and leave them on the new part
